Hi Deborah - thank you so much for dropping me a line. It's a massive honour for the nomination to be accepted (especially alongside all these really great writers!). David Gemmell was and is a huge inspiration to me - for my book to be accepted as a work written in the spirit of the great man is an amazing and very humbling acknowledgement.
Thanks for the responce deborah, i've known of the books existence for a while ( i saw it on e'bay for £500.00). I did'nt know it was about gangland london.......... i've got to get though because it's David's work. Everything else that he's published i must have read at least three to four times with the exception of the troy series.

Howdy Debbie - thanks for the blog visit. I had to move your comment from my old blog to the new one though, so here's where your comment is now http://www.jasonmwaltz.com/thoughts/archives/233 and my new post from today http://www.jasonmwaltz.com/thoughts/archives/347. I look forward to voting - and taking home those 5 Short List titles!
Thanks so much Deborah
I changed my photo though because I found my official Joshua Palmatier Minion badge and if there is anywhere I can wear it proudly, it would be here! I saw he is nominated!!!!!!!!
Thanks Deb and it's an honor to be here. I'm glad Mr. Gemmell's legacy is being celebrated with this award. I couldn't agree more with the name or intent. I informed editorial at Ace/Roc so hopefully they'll suggest a few more titles for the list.
