I really loved this book. I actually was a little skeptical about it after reading the chapter summary on Orbit, but I needed a book for my bro for Christmas and I saw this and remembered that some people had good things to say about it(Mainly DD)...

This was the first Raven book I read. I found it dissapointing. I expected more from this friend of DG. Maybe I have to read his earlier Raven books to fully appreciate the Heroes but stand-a-lone value just wasn't there.

Yes - DG also recommended my books - but I'm not on the Longlist sadly... :-( Being the organiser, it would look well fishy if I won! ;-) Just kidding - I haven't got anything out that would be suitable at the moment... Yes James is getting a lot of support on the boards - wouldn't be surprised if he made the Shortlist, but only time (and votes) will tell!

Well, weve got more US Nominees now since DAWs and TORs lists have come in - a few of those books we haven't seen this side of the pond yet. Notably Joshua Palmitier and a few others, who we've been hearing fine things about! One of my fave authors is Canadian - guy Gavriel Kay - marvellous author & really great guy...

Hi FinalFunk - I just happened onto your page & I'm really embarrassed that we didn't appear to welcome you properly when you joined! So sorry! I must have been up to my eyes in it that day - I don't often let anyone slip through the net without a welcome... So... Welcome!!! Somewhat belated... hope you're enjoying the Nominees books and some chat in the Forums etc...
