I've read Blood of the elves too. was quite excited to find it, couldn't wait to read it. Couldn't wait to finish it either. Disappointing is all I can say. Jury is still out on whether its a re-read to be sure. Other half and son will read it nex...
If there's a series I've been following book by book on a yearly basis say, I like to sit back once the series is complete and read 'em all back-to-back. I find it gives a totally different reading :)
You really should read Dark Moon. That one is different, has an SF slant, although the fantasy bleeds thru on every page! If you liked Blood of Elves, you will enjoy Dark Moon i guarantee. try it and get back to me, i would like to hear you though...
I loved Brent Week's books as well, although I definitely preferred 'T he Painted (Warded) Man' by Peter Brett and he didn't get onto the short list!
Still.....I can't wait for next years awards!
i've read the blood of elves and the last wish by mr andrzej sapkowski. I have to agree with your comments. Brent week's night angel trilogy was far superior. i've read some of the other sortlisted authors, but by a long distance brent weeks hit t...

LOL, hey at least she'll have a tasteful selection Joe. Thats key. Im quite looking forward to getting to introduce my Nephew to reading Davids books when he's old enough (currently he's 2.)
I am ashamed to say my books mainly gather dust until they are dusted off. I reread only DG and GRRM novels when I have a few hours unoccupied. I just cant force myself to part with any of them either! I guess my daughter will have to deal with th...
I must be unusual in that I rarely re-read a book - I am not sure why, because I have such a poor short-term memory that it would almost certainly seem as if I was reading it for the first time!!!
As an author, whilst I am writing a novel, (most ...
I have just finished reading it and although at the start I did think it was a bit sloppy, after the first third of the book i was completely hooked and couldn't put it down.
I did think the ending was quite abrupt, but I have read many series wh...
I sincerely hope this isnt the end of this story line! Of course, Sapkowski may be using the strategy of Tolkien, leave a lot of story untold and let the reader invent (possibly publish?) whatever ending seems apropos. One can only hope.
