The David Gemmell Legend Awards

On every literature forum I look at I always see people saying how they've re-read a book or series of books lots of times, in some cases starting again as soon as they finish. I can think of two books I've read twice, in both cases because many years had passed since the first reading and I couldn't remember anything about the plot.

Now, the thought has crossed my mind on many occasions that I could re-read some of the better books I've read in the last few years, but then there's always new stuff on my list and I think if I revisit old books then I'll have wasted valuable time that could have been spent reading something new.

Do you repeat readers ever have the same thought?

i'm 42. the only books i've ever re-read periodically are D.G's. i read other authors work but D.G's work is speciall and it might sound odd but even though i know whats going to happen it dosent detract from the expierence,fun,joy.exitement....... my collection will stay in my familly and pass to my kids im sure of that.

it was hard for me to read other works. the standard D.G set was so high but i've just completed the Night Angel Trillogy and wow. i cant wait for brent week's next offering

Lots a luck getting your kids to read even one of them. I find that other people just dont get it. I only found one reader on this side who will read them.

If there's a series I've been following book by book on a yearly basis say, I like to sit back once the series is complete and read 'em all back-to-back. I find it gives a totally different reading :)
