So who which actors would play which characters.
I'm thinking the head viking in 'the 13th warrior' to play Druss!
What do you think?

I'm thinking SAM Elliot "with a bit of weight added all over" he's got the face of Druss. for Rowena the women who acted as Isolde in the latest Tristan and Isolde movie. for Sibien Kevin spacey, he has the oratory skills

for jon shannow, i would visualise liam neeson more for this.

waylander doesn't make me visualise vincent cassell though. perhaps more Eric Bana.

Eric Bana for Waylander, I think not!!!!
And if he was cast I might refuse to see it, only might after all i saw the Hulk and Troy, he was rubbish in both.

well, he was miles better than brad pitt and orlando bloom, i think he would be rugged enough without being too musclebound.

i always see waylander as having wiry strength but christan bale being too cold looking.

Sorry Geoff but how could cold looking be a bad thing for Waylander, he is a stone cold killer.

I joined this site to talk about making Legend into a movie, so I hope this thread is still fairly active. The man that most reminds me of Druss is a scottish actor named James Cosmo. He played Angus MacLeod in Highlander, Campbell in Braveheart and Glaucus in Troy. He's about 62 years old, so the right sort of age for Druss. His voice is spot on and he has pale blue eyes. The only downside that I can see with James Cosmo is his body. In the graphic novel, Druss is still built like a body builder. Then again, you'd be hard pressed to find a man of that age who is still built like a body builder today. Asbjorn Riis has the physical presence but lacks the voice and english language to pull it off. I've often thought that with a lot of work, you could get Kevin Nash (the wrestler) to play Druss. He is big enough to do him justice and could portray a 60 year old man if necessary. He's also starred in a few B-grade movies. I have a lot of ideas about this movie, but I'll post them later.

yes, but he has a daughter, appears to have a moral code which develops a slightly more humanist streak, especially in waylander 2.
i just see christian bale as the pycho killer (as per ...was it portrait of a serial killer?)

Who do you imagine could play Hogun and Elicas?

"Hogun is broad-shouldered and tall, clear-eyed, with a square jaw.
Elicas is slimmer and shorter and has the look of eagles about him."

I think Ray Stevenson or Vinnie Jones for Hogun and Orlando Bloom or Ewan McGregor for Elicas.
