The David Gemmell Legend Awards

As an avid reader I tend to spend a lot of my time with my head stuck in a book, some have even joked at my collection calling it the Fantasy Aladdin’s Cave, and even gone so far as suggesting that I use it to create trenches to fight off the high brow literati for the honour of the genre. (Incidentally, if there is a Swedish Furniture chain that would like to come round, measure up, sort the shelving and install the lot for free, let me know. LOL)

Anyway, back onto point, lets just say that I read a hell of a lot and I thought that I would put my tuppence worth into the pot to kick this off. So books that I have spotted, and think may be nominated are (titles nominated by others are in brackets):

Hopefully he's been enjoying Joe's latest, Best Served Cold. I've done the same to my other half when I read books like Terry's in bed.

NOVIK, Naomi - In His Majesty's Service

Is technically a compendium of the first 3 books so not sure i'd nominate it since its technically 3 separate books and thus wouldnt be a fair vote...a damn good series though.

I really enjoyed Joe's Books, but didn;t find 'Best Served Cold' as brilliant as his previous books. I am alittle disappointed that Mark Chadbourn's 'Lord of Silence' isn't up there as i found found it absolutely riverting (sp?). A also really enjoyed a Magicians Apprentice by Trudi Canavan. Excellent stuff.

Lord of Silence may not be on the fan list, but it is an official longlist nominee for the Legend award.

Where do I find the long list? I'm having problems navigating at the minute as my eyes won't stop watering so i can't see very much!!!
